WHY ARE WE HERE?

It's a big universe! We are so miniscule and in the realm of time, we have existed for such a short time.

Barely a blink of an eye!

However, God created us for a reason, a very special reason.

He wants our company!      Hello? Have you ever heard that before? It's true!

I don't know if there are other 'inhabited planets in the universe. But I do know that God created the earth especially for us.

When He created Adam and Eve, prior to their disobedience (sin) He would walk with them in the cool of the evening through the garden (Garden of Eden)

How marvelous! To walk with God in the evening.

However, we have a flaw, and it didn't take Satan long to discover what it was. The inability to resist temptation. In failing, we disobey God and therefore we sin.

Sin cannot exist in God's presence.

When Adam and Eve sinned, God banned them from the garden and never saw them again. Separated from God, by their disobedience.

None the less, God loves us!
Us! How incredible?

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that those who believe in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

As God created us to commune with Him, to walk with Him and to love Him, He did not give up on the first failure. Rather, He created a plan by which we can still associate with Him, forever!

However, we must be clean of sin (sin cannot exist in the presence of God) and that cleansing has been provided for in the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ.

Though Jesus died for ALL the sins in the world, we don't get forgiven until we humble ourselves to Him and ASK to be forgiven! A pardon unaccepted is not a pardon.

The scripture says that EVERY knee shall bow before Him and EVERY tongue shall confess that He is Lord.

What's important is the question, will you bow BEFORE you die, or afterwards?

If you wait, you loose! He will say unto you, “I know you not”! Then you will be cast into outer darkness and there will be a wailing and gnashing of teeth. Matt 13: 41-45

You don't become a “Christian” until you bow before Him, confess your sins, and ask Him to forgive you and become your Lord.

Calling yourself a Christian doesn't count! Being 'good' doesn't count “your righteousness is as filthy rags” Isa. 64:6; doing good works doesn't count “by grace and faith you are saved not of yourselves, lest anyone should boast” Eph 2: 8,9

When Jesus was preparing to depart this earth, He told the disciples that “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26.

Once we are 'saved', the Holy Spirit will guide us and teach us in all things.

As we advance in our life with Christ and the Holy Spirit, we become more like Christ, a person who loves God and whom God would like to walk with in the garden in the evening.

And that is why we are here! To become a person that God would like to walk with, someone who loves Him.

We have to learn how to love God, it doesn't come natural in our carnal body.

Our carnal mind is at enmity with God, Romans 8:7; therefore, until we develop a spiritual mind through salvation and the leading of the Holy Spirit, we fail to meet the requirements to return to God's presence.

Our sole purpose for being here on this earth is to prepare ourselves to be acceptable to walk with God to fulfill His desire for us.
Those of us that strive to his salvation will live with him in heaven for eternity, those who fail, are condemned to burn in the lake of fire with Satan, for eternity! That is a very, very long time.
